WEED and NATIVE PLANT INVENTORY
from the Shaw property, Santa Cruz County, California

106 weed species formerly covered 99% of the 74 acre property. The weed
management is described in the June 2002 journal of Ecological Restoration.
By 2008, the weeds only cover 6% of the property, and were 94% replaced by the 154 natives plants, that grew from dormant seeds that were in the soil-seedbank, some estimated to be over 100 years old.
